At Alliance Animal Health Center our dedicated surgical team and surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of procedures.

We utilize the safest anesthetic agents and use the most modern equipment to enable us to assess our patient’s vital signs during all anesthetic procedures. All pets admitted to our hospitals for surgery will be carefully screened for safety and anesthetic agents will be tailored especially for your pet. The safety, comfort and well-being of our patients are our top priorities.

 

* Please note: Although fully equipped to perform surgical procedures at our Park Glen location, the majority of our anesthetic procedures are performed at our Alliance Animal Health location.

Why is pre-anesthetic blood work important? Like with humans undergoing a surgical procedure, the doctor’s primary goal is to reduce the risk of anesthesia as much as possible. How do they reduce risk? By having as complete of a picture of what is going on not only on the outside of their patient’s body but also the inside. This is where pre-anesthetic blood testing comes in to play. Blood tests that are performed provide the doctor with a glimpse of how the patient’s major organs are functioning.
